I purchased tickets from www.museumticket.it the day before we wanted to go to the Colosseum. After doing so, I received a confirmation email saying that I would receive my tickets 'within 24 hours in a second e-mail'. Upon this advice, we booked a taxi for the following day. The next day, the tickets still hadn't arrived, and with our taxi waiting we had to leave. The Colosseum staff knew nothing of our tickets so we had to pay again.
After arriving home, I contacted www.museumticket.it via email to see if they would reimburse our tickets, considering that they hadn't arrived within the 24 hour timeframe stated in their confirmation email. I received an email back, stating that their system was operating correctly and that no reimbursement would be processed. I emailed back to ask again about the 24 hour delivery timeframe and received no reply. When I emailed again, stating that I would be forced to write about my experience with their company on a public forum, I received an email back that threatened 'calumny proceeding through a legal action against your person and against the sites that will publish negative information about us'. Calumny means defamation. I had to look it up.
I am not scared of them, hence the reason for this review. I have made sure to publish only factual information, rendering their legal threat null and void. I, personally, would never do business with this company ever again. There are numerous other online companies that sell tickets for museums in Italy and I would use one of them next time. You can make your own mind up. Me trying to convince you otherwise would amount to calumny.
