Advantages: BA standards in southern Africa, LAst-On-First-Off baggage Disadvantages: Don't seem to be as friendly as they were
...I recently flew with Comair for the first time in several years. I had flown with them several times back in 1996 and 1997, and was quite impressed. In March I flew with them again.
Who Are Comair?
Comair started life as Commercial Airways in 1946, with a solitary aircraft. They have developed steadily over the following 50 years, as one would have hoped, and in 1996 they joined forces with BritishAirways to become the first BA franchisee outside Europe.

My experience (and others) of BritishAirways is that it is expensive and that its service is poor. Like so many British industries, it seems not to value its customers. The customers make the airline profitable, and so to not take their wishes into consideration is folly.
I think that BritishAirways could learn a lot from American companies about customer service. They may then find that customers give them some loyalty.
I have heard many people say that they would rather fly to/from the states using American Airlines than BritishAirways: This says something for a company based in this country....
