Advantages: Safe, enjoyable and friendly atmosphere. Price of ski hire isnt too expensive if you go more into the town, than the shop of the resort. Disadvantages: Prices of items and food in the resort are very expensive, but that is to be expected in any resort at high season!

Areas such as Combloux and Cordon thrive on the Peak season. Tourism is their main base of income, so you can imagine at High season they charge entortion rates for even the smallest beverages. I once had a mars bar at a restaurant next to the slopes which cost me 8Francs (which is about 85pence).

The actual Skiing slopes of Combloux have alot of variety to them. There is 3 or 4 Black slopes, which I personally have never been on. But the rst are more my levely with 8 red slopes, 7 blue slopes and 5 green slopes. The slopes are ranked in Colour. Black is the hardest slope of all the slopes. This is for only very experienced skiers and cautious ones aswell for that matter. It contains a lot of steep parts which I would never even dream of competing! The Red and Blue are for the intermmediate skiiers and the green slopes are for beginners.
I have been skiing since I was about 8 years of age. France was always my parents decision of ski resorts, and we have enjoyed brilliant family skiing holidays for about 9 years now. We usually rent out a flat from a nearby quaint village called Cordon, where my mother grew up. Flats there are quite expensive to rent, and the cheapest there being a studio for a family of 4 at around £150 for a week at low-season, and the most expensive flat at low season also for a family of 4 for a week, would be around £400. These can vary though. Alot of the accomodation in that area are priced on the view, and the accesibility to the town center in case of snow.

The ski resort of Combloux itself, has everything needed on site. It has a medical building which insures the public of any accidents, are seen to very quickly. It also has Three restaurants on site for skiers or passer-bys, two ski equipments centers and repair services, an ESF (ecole de Ski Francais, - which is a school of French skiing) and various souvenirs shops aswell. All in all, there is everything that you could ever need when just popping out for a quick ski!
This resort is by far one of the best, whom insure safety aswell as enjoyment and a quick running service. There is 3 'telesieges' which are ski lifts. These personally scare the life out of me -but are very safe, and quite fu once you get over the fear of them!!
