I wouldn't say the staff were particularly multi-lingual, but with my best phrase-book style German and her slightly better English, we didn't have any major problems understanding one another. I can't say the same about finding our room though. The hotel is a traditional motel-style affair with a combination of three, 2 or 3 storey buildings around a courtyard. The trouble was that there were no room numbers on the outside of the buildings and consequently there was no way of knowing which building our room was in. Surprise, surprise. Our room was at the end of the last corridor of the last building we looked in. The room was decorated in pastel shades with beechwood furniture and finishings. Advantages: Near to most major sites

...This was a nice comfort hotel place du tertre, paris , well located and easy to find. We stayed here on a winter weekend and unfortunately the rooms were not warm enough, the thermostats didn't effect the room temp and there was no manual control for the heater. Also the walls are paper thin and we were disturbed by noisy guests next door arriving late at night, although this is not the fault of the hotel. The location was excellent a short walk from Notre Dame and a walkable distance to most of the major sites (Eiffel Tower, La Louvre). The Metro is very close by and there were some good restaurants in the area.It was such a unforgoteble experience for me and my family. Thanks.... Read review

...Harrington Hall The Harrington Hall hotel is part of the Spanish nh hotel chain. Situated just round the corner from Gloucester Road tube station near Kensington in central London, the hotel takes up much of the whole block. = BOOKING = I was in London for work as part of a large party, so the booking arrangements were handled by the people organising the trip. I have looked at the website, and booking seems very straightforward on there, with an easy form with drop-down menus with options for the quality of room. Our group were all given standard rooms, which cost £130 per night, not including breakfast. Since it was a work trip, this was in the ballpark of costs for the type of hotel that MEPs would consider acceptable. I know London is hideously expensive for hotels, so £130 was not that outrageous when compared... Read review
