Relatively easy. Situated just off the M3 on either junction 6 or 7. Danebury Road is sign posted and just off Cliddesden Lane.
If approaching from junction 6 then after 395 yards take the 2nd exit off the roundabout into A339. ( Basingstoke ). Continue straight up to the Black Dam roundabout and then take the first exit off. At the next roundabout, also take the first exit off into Hackwood Road, continue ...

I quite often go for lunch in Southsea on a Saturday, but on this occasion I needed to visit Blackwell's bookshop near Portsmouth University, so it was a good opportunity to have lunch at the nearby Cafe Parisien for a change. As the Cafe is popular with university students and staff, I thought perhaps Saturday would be a relatively quiet day there, but it was pouring with rain and blowing a gale so the outside tables could not be used, and even at 1.30pm the place was packed with people inside. We nevertheless managed to find a table for three and then went to queue up and place our order.
The menu is written on blackboards above the counter and looks a little confusing at first, but it is quite easy to find the appropriate section, depending on whether you want soup, a plat principal/cooked meal, a salad (choice of twelve), a croque ...

Southsea is lined with hotels and guesthouses, some of the largest being the Royal Beach hotel, Holiday Inn and Queens Hotel. The Ibis Hotel and the Marriott Hotel are a short bus ride away. There is also a caravan park with both caravans and pitches available to hire.
5 Conclusion
As you can probably see, there are lots of things to see and do in Portsmouth. Its a great destination for families but there are plenty of things for singles and couples and groups of friends to do too. The only thing that Portsmouth doesn't have is sand on the beach. Although Portsmouth is generally quite sunny in the summer, it is of course in Britain, so don't forget your umbrella. ...
