Disadvantages: I never win the pub quiz! - But I suppose that's not their fault!

**This review is of the Three compasses Pub in Aldenham, Herts** Aldenham is a quiet and small village just a few miles from Watford. The pub is located down a quiet country lane, but is simple to find. Off one of the only 2 roads that go through Aldenham. Its the turning on your left heading towards Watford or on your right heading away. Easy. I have been going to this pub now for a few years in a few different capacities; it's near to my work and is a favourite place for the odd after work, or lunchtime drink. The Actual Pub ------------------ The pub itself is a lovely big building, I believe it was built in the 18th century and was apparently even frequented by highway man Dick Turpin. golden compass points you in the wrong direction

Advantages: great cast
Disadvantages: almost all of it

To day I went to the cinema to see The Golden Compass. I had no idea what this was about apart from what id seen on the adverts on TV. So I will right the review based only on what I saw on the screen, no extra bits about who made it, the full cast list or how much money it made at the box office, just my honest opinion about what happened on the screen. Here goes, the film is set in a alternate dimension where every one has a demon guide in the shape of a animal by there side, this is there soul (though, there purpose is unclear as they have no relevance in the film) the land is ruled by the "magistarium" a kind of monarchy who don't want any one to know about other dimensions (like ours) and oppose free thinking.
