.... To accompany it there will of course be good French wine or Champagne!
Just Walking beside the beach along the Promenade de Anglais is an wonderful experience. Or just take sun bath in the beautiful beach. If you feel more active and energetic, then there are plenty of things to do; staring from surfing, water scootering, canoeing, parachute diving etc. etc.
You can also go on trekking or hiking in the olive and pine covered Alps.
There are many other places to visit on day trips...all along the beautiful mediterinian coast. You can either visit glamorous Monaco, Menton and Cannes, Saint Tropaz. Or can visit less known but more exquisitely beautiful places like Beaulieu, Villefranche, Saint Raphael. All this places are reachable within an hour drive. They are also connected to Nice by frequent trains and buses.
There are plenty...

...The Place Messena sits in central Nice and is the best place to start any visit to the city. It's a open square (piazza) which hints at the areas pre-French history.
Place Messena is only a short walk from the bus station, (follow the park towards the sea), and from the railway station turning left walk for only a couple of minutes you reach walk down Avenue Jean Medicin (away from the bridge/fly-over & the brilliantly named Maison du Pantalons!). The bus from the airport goes past the Place Messena before reaching the bus station on the fountain side. The Tourist Information office is only about 5 minutes walk away along the sea front, (away from the old town/hill).
Place Messen has been largely pedestrianised and will have trams running through it, (when they're finished). On my first visit it was busy with cars and traffic...

...Nice or Nizza as the locals know it. You've probably seen photos etc. I stayed here for four months it must have been about five years ago as part of my studies for European Business Studies with the University of Hertfordshire. I lived in Nice for four months as a student, in Valence (next to Lyons) working for six months and then about 3 years ago I lived in Caen in Normandy for four months. Each of these locations are so different as you would expect from France, but Nice remains my favourite memory, probably due to the large amount of free time that I had being a student (12 hours a week study - lol!).
I set off from London Victoria bus station via coach, to be my home for the next 24 hours (don't do it!). There were only 3 of us on the entire coach however, so I just spread myself over 4 seats and tried to sleep when applicable...

I’ve just returned from a holiday in Nice, where there’s approximately 300 days of sunshine a year, there are French women sunbathing topless on the beach, and you can dunk your baguette in your coffee and just sit back and watch the world go by. I went more
