this hotel is huge , and split into two parts , the part with the beach called main and the part accross the road called sports, we stayed in the main but had a good look round the sports side, if you are going here and your main goal is snorkling or diving on the house reef ,then make sure that you are at the main side , if you want to mainly be around the pool and like it a bit quiter then book the sports side , i strongly belive no matter which side you stay at ,you will come away happy. the staff are extreamly freindly and make you feel very welcome. this is an all inclusive resort and one thing that can either make or break a all inclusive hotel is the food. the food here was very good , not as good as the carabian but better than a lot of places i have visited , if there is one thing i would comment on is that ,when your in the carabian all inclusive is all inclusive ,here i would of described it as mostly inclusive , there where a few things that you had to pay a sur-charge for , i.e. ice cream was around 5p per scoop ,i found this to be out of order and greedy of the hotal , personally i would prefer to pay an little extra up front and have everything all included. however this did not really take away from the holiday and there was plenty of choice of things that where free. the house reef all along sharks bay is without doubt the main feature of this hotel and its main asset , it is still in very good condition despite years of people snorkling on it , you could easly see as much snarking here as you could diving. you could clearly see the bottom as far out as it was safe to go. i would put snorkling in sharks bay in the top position of all places i have been snorkling , and makes anywhere in the carrabian look like black and white in comparison. this is not a place for people who struggle with walking it is situated on a very steep cliff and the beach and enterance to the beach has been man made out of the rock , many shops are close by and you can find any thing here that you would find in the town which is some 10mins away in a taxi . if you want to go on any trips do not book with the holiday company ,go to the beach where you will find one of the dive hut team who run the trips for the holiday companies , he will charge you a lot less money than the reps without even having to haggle , one word of warning take the smallest notes you can to the shops , they never have any change and on several occasions we where offerd either sweets or lighters ect as part change. all in all it is a very good hotel in a very good position , a slight improvment to the all inclusive and would be perfect , we hope to go back to egypy but will probably try one of the other hotels in sharks bay .
