Drinking: We spend time in many bars around Turku and later at Saturday night in the Night Club Marilyn what is particularly popular as a disco/night club especially on the late teens-early twenties crow. But cause I'm way over that age I found my self in Night club Giggling Marlin. Its a similar disco for early twenties upwards, so it more for me another night club I was thinking to go, (but didn't just because cue's where HUGE) was night spot for mid-to-late twenties, Börs Night Club in the same building as the hotel Hamburger Börs (but open to all, not just hotel guests). ...in Turku and now has branches all over Finland and even across the Baltic in Estonia. Hotels seem to fall mainly at the mid to top end but we didn't book in advance and found cheap accommodation without any trouble. Having already visited two capital cities on our trip, Turku was a real pleasure; a city that offers the facilities and attractions one might expect from a capital but with a more relaxed pace and fewer people. While Helsinki is also a seaport, Turku feels more like a nautical city even though it is that bit further from the sea. I would recommend a visit to Turku for active people who don't mind working for their pleasures; I don't think I'm being snobby when I say its a fairly intellectual city that demands you put some work in to enjoy what's on offer. It's certainly not a place where you can sit back and be entertained... Read review

Advantages: Beautiful location, close to good pubs and restaurants

...My partner and myself enjoy staying in hotels just outside our local area, and the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa was a destination we had been intending to try for a while. The village itself is very quaint and surrounds the hotel which is well known around the area as an exclusive and rather expensive hotel experience. The nearest village to the hotel is Bromley Cross which is a ten minute walk away and is well supplied with all the pubs and restaurants one could wish for if a night out is required rather than a relaxing night in, sampling the many facilities of probably the finest hotel in this area. The hotel itself is rather sprawling and quirky, and is more a complex than a bonafide village in it's own right. The hotel is very traditional and not in the least like some low market travel lodge.
