Advantages: breathtaking coastlines
Disadvantages: mobilhomes spoil the beaches

Connemara was on the itinerary for the next two days: we started off via Leenaun, Kylemore Abbey and Letterfrack to the small village of Cleggan, where I got us a fresh 800 grams lobster right out of the Atlantic for a mere EUR 15 that was prepared minutes later by a chef at Clifden´s Market Square for EUR 8, we did extend our bill by a penne with salmon plate and a couple of stouts though. After this cheap and heavenly ... ...The second expedition into Connemara took us to Galway, oyster capital of the west. Famous Kenny´s Bookshop provided me with Hornby´s new Bestseller "How to be Good" and Peter O´Toole´s autobiography "Loitering with intent-the Apprentice". A pleasant walk through the colourful city center was followed by an excursion along Galway Bay´s coastal road to Ballynahown, where a tiny airstrip provides access to the Aran Islands of Inishmore, Inishman and ...
