... Why did I decide to write about Conwy? Do I live there? Well, nope, I live in Rhos on Sea which is about 5 miles away from Conwy. The reason why I've decided to write an opinion about Conwy is because its been cropping up in my life quite a bit recently. As many of you know, I'm into the ... Read review

Croeso I Conwy!

AdvantagesLots of things to keep you occupied

DisadvantagesNone really.

"...to write an opinion about Conwy is because its been cropping up in my life quite a bit recently. As many of you know, I'm into the paranormal. Conwy, being an old walled town has its fair share of ghost stories. Its even said to be cursed. More on this later!. Anyway, like I said, its been cropping up in my life quite a bit recently. It was only a few days ago when a paranormal researcher from Ireland contacted me about a case he's researching ..." Read review

Fairytale in Snowdonia

AdvantagesBreathtaking scenery, fairytale castle, lovely town

DisadvantagesNone

"...years was a visit to Conwy and its beautiful castle. Conwy itself is a lovely little town situated on the estuary of the River Conwy on the edge of Snowdonia in the north-west corner of Wales. Approached from the east via the A55 through North Wales, the beauty of this section of the country rivals anything in Britain. It is a classic walled town full of authentic medieval character. The circuit of walls over three quarters of a mile long is ..." Read review

What a magnificent castle

AdvantagesLovely castle, pretty town

DisadvantagesCan't think of any

"...Island. The most striking thing about Conwy is the castle, built by Edward I as the third of his Welsh fortresses. It is built on a strategic site on the Conwy estuary giving it river, sea and land defences. The castle consists of an inner and outer ward surrounded by eight drum towers, which are all linked to one another by a high wall. The four easternmost towers have extra turrets as this was the residential area of the castle and thus needed ..." Read review

Conwy - a place to visit whatever the weather.

AdvantagesEasy to get to and plenty of historical places to see.

DisadvantagesNo major shops

"...in Conwy. To get to Conwy I travelled down the A55 from Chester which took around an hour. On approaching Conwy I could not fail to be impressed by the magnificent castle, as it just dominates the town by its magnificent presence. It was built as one of the key fortresses between 1283 and 1289 by Edward 1 and was positioned on the Conwy estuary to originally to defend against attacks from both the sea and land. Almost all of the huge 8 towers and ..." Read review

We're Singing In The Rain

AdvantagesGet to spend time together

DisadvantagesIt's raining, it's pouring, Lots of money needed.

"Right now I feel very depressed. I've just got back from a weekend in North Wales, Conwy. There are so many things that went wrong and for most of the time we really didn't enjoy ourselves. We stayed in a cottage overlooking Snowdon which is a really beautiful place and really quaint, but the problem is that if you haven't got a car there's really not that much you can do. Riding on the buses takes up time as well as money. The prices are extortionate. ..." Read review
