Advantages: Brings back the memories of the show, great if you havn't Disadvantages: n/a
Barry Manilow's Copacabana was welcomed with great enthusiasm when it hit the West End as a Musical. I was lucky enough to see this musical and it has gone down with me as one of the best I have ever seen, and I have seen a few.
You may wonder how a song like Copacabana could be made into a musical, but with over 2 and a half hours of great music, Copacabana was just the tip of the Iceberg. The music in this show was full of energy, humour, some of the times the songs were sad but all in all this CD captures every musical gift that Copcabana had to offer, if you havn't seen the show it doesn't matter, this CD brings to the imagination the storyline as each record is played in sequence to that of the musical.
Several actors played the lead role of Stephen i this show but Gary Wilmot is the frontman on this CD and is who I actually ...
Advantages: the weather, the people, the area, virtually everything in fact Disadvantages: the beach sellers, the cockroaches, the long flight time from the UK, and a small earthquake.
Firstly my general rule of thumb about going on holiday is, when choosing a destination it must be somewhere I have not been before, but Acapulco is somewhere I would return to in a heartbeat.
It has to be one of the best holidays I have had in a long time.

We booked about 6 weeks before we went so not exactly last minute, but not ages in advance and paid around £750 each for all inclusive 4 star hotel for two weeks. All the hotels are arranged around the bay along a long road called La Costera, and many are actually on the beach.
The hotel was fabulous, on the beach and the staff were great, you didnt even have to get out of your sunlounger to go to the bar, the waiters came down on to the beach and delivered your drinks to you dripping with ice. Well you need to keep cool in 47C heat.
Before this ...
Advantages: location, tranquility, things to see Disadvantages: no ATM
Copacabana is a must for anybody travelling through Bolivia, situated on the beautiful Lake Titicaca it offers a tranquil resting place either en route to or to recover from the pains of the Inca Trail! It is ideally situated between La Paz and Puno in Peru to break up an otherwise 8 hour bus trip. Anyone with experience of Bolivian bus travel will appreciate the desirability of this!!
It is a small town but it offers a lovely beach with plenty of accommodation and eateries to warrant a stay of a few days. Bolivia is a relatively harsh environment to travel in and we used Copacabana as a place to recover from the perils of eating Lama steaks!! The blazing sunshine along with the cheap food and drink you come to expect from the continent really adds a touch of relaxation to the trip and the obligatory day trip to the Isla del Sol ...
