Perfect for a sightseeing trip to Copenhagen

Advantages: good location, very nice rooms, friendly staff

Phoenix hotel, Copenhagen

Advantages: 4 star luxary, excellent breakfest, cheap deals if booked early
Disadvantages: smallish sized room

So here we are traveling the globe and the Scandinavian is without doubt the most expensive for hostels and we were really struggling to find a hostel in central Copenhagen until my girlfriend stumbled upon this excellent hotel which worked out to be only a couple of pounds more expensive then the hostels in the area - but this one has of course a four star luxury status! Business stay at the Admiral

Advantages: Good location, nice atmosphere in the hotel
Disadvantages: A bit pricy, noise from traffic and noise from construction on the waterfront

I stayed at Copenhagen Admiral Hotel for 2 nights during my visit to Copenhagen in late November 2005. I only stayed for 2 nights and my company used the hotel to host a conference. The hotel is located near the waterfront between Nyhavn and the castle of Amalienborg. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and I think we paid about 200-250 kroner for that. ...When we arrived at the hotel we were impressed by the building itself. The main building dates back to 1787 and it was originally used as a storage and drying facility for wheat. Once inside it is impossible to not notice the huge wooden structures that carries the weight of the building (I assume that that is the purpose at least) and that also creates a nice atmosphere in the hotel. In the lobby there are also models of sail ships, old canons etc ...

Close to most things

Advantages: quiet city hotel
Disadvantages: parking

General This hotel i situated close to most things in the Danish capital and it's a nice and pleasant hotel for the money you spend. Breakfast is included in the price and has lots of Scandinavian alternatives. A big plus is the free tickets to the swimming pool a bit further away.
