On the Square
Advantages: Good location, good standard, clean and pleasant Disadvantages: A bit anonymous
The Square is a mid priced hotel situated in the heart of Copenhagen, on Radhuspladsen and overlooking Tivoli Gardens. A short walk from the Central Station it is very handy for transfers from the airport and provides an excellent base for touring the city.
Part of the ARP-Hansen Hotel Group it is one of several hotels in Copenhagen and like their other properties offers a good standard of accommodation geared towards the modern business or tourist ... ...is somewhat misleading. Granted, from the top (6th) floor you can see the giant Tivoli sign but that's about it. There aren't really any other views available as it isn't in the prettiest part of town. A few minutes from the station it occupies a large portion of an unprepossessing retail/office building on the corner of HC Anderson Boulevard and Jernbanegade. This is not the most attractive part of town and the local streets are full of over spilling ...

Perfect for a sightseeing trip to Copenhagen
Advantages: good location, very nice rooms, friendly staff Disadvantages: nothing
...we found this one, the Savoy Copenhagen. We paid for one night 105 Euro (88 GBP), not much compared to other hotels in Copenhagen.
The Savoy Copenhagen is located in the Vesterbrogade 34 in 1620 Copenhagen. The hotel´s website can be found here: http://www.savoyhotel.dk/ . It has three stars.
The hotel is just a short walk away from the railway station. So when we came from the airport, we just had to fetch a train to the railway station (took ... ...300 meters to reach the Savoy hotel. Also all sights of Copenhagen can be reached by feet from the hotel, but the way to the Little Mermaid can become a qiet far walk through the city (on the way you pass all the sights like the Tivoli, Nyhavn etc.). If you want to get to the Mermaid faster, you can fetch a bus right from the hotel to her.
Around the hotel are a lot of shopping opportunities, there is everything - supermarkets, post office and several ...

Phoenix hotel, Copenhagen
Advantages: 4 star luxary, excellent breakfest, cheap deals if booked early Disadvantages: smallish sized room
So here we are traveling the globe and the Scandinavian is without doubt the most expensive for hostels and we were really struggling to find a hostel in central Copenhagen until my girlfriend stumbled upon this excellent hotel which worked out to be only a couple of pounds more expensive then the hostels in the area - but this one has of course a four star luxury status!
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and of course ... ...airport. We made the short journey and located the street that the hostel was on easily. The hotel stood out on this quiet street as we arrived at 9pm and there was no one walking the streets and only one building as lit up - this was the phoenix.
The hotel entrance is grand with a water feature in the middle of reception and its have loads of old paintings hanging on the walls. we were greeted on reception by an extremely helpful guy who spoke ...

Business stay at the Admiral
Advantages: Good location, nice atmosphere in the hotel Disadvantages: A bit pricy, noise from traffic and noise from construction on the waterfront
I stayed at Copenhagen Admiral Hotel for 2 nights during my visit to Copenhagen in late November 2005. I only stayed for 2 nights and my company used the hotel to host a conference.
The hotel is located near the waterfront between Nyhavn and the castle of Amalienborg. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and I think we paid about 200-250 kroner for that. But I guess you can also take the train into the main train station and walk to the ... ...When we arrived at the hotel we were impressed by the building itself. The main building dates back to 1787 and it was originally used as a storage and drying facility for wheat. Once inside it is impossible to not notice the huge wooden structures that carries the weight of the building (I assume that that is the purpose at least) and that also creates a nice atmosphere in the hotel. In the lobby there are also models of sail ships, old canons etc ...

Close to most things
Advantages: quiet city hotel Disadvantages: parking
General
This hotel i situated close to most things in the Danish capital and it's a nice and pleasant hotel for the money you spend. Breakfast is included in the price and has lots of Scandinavian alternatives. A big plus is the free tickets to the swimming pool a bit further away. This is a hotel that is perfect for one nights stay.
Room
The room we stayed in was a standard room and therefore standard size. It wasn't small or big ... ...speak about. It is a hotel in the city centre so other buildings and more hotels was what we could see, but it didn't occur to me to mind.
The décor was is neutral colours. Nothing fancy at all. And I didn't expect it to be.
General hotel amenities
The staffs at the hotel were really nice and helpful with information. The atmosphere is the reception and lobby was quite normal but it was big. There were plenty of sofas to sit in and relax ...
