...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

Firstly I should set the scene with some background info. I booked the room through Lastminute.com and got a great rate of about £69 for a Quayside room. It was a room only rate. Man...

...As you walk in you are transferred to another place. The glass atrium shows off one of the spectacular features of the hotel, it's view. The River Tyne allows for a tranquel background for a relaxing weekend break.
When ever we go to Newcastle this is one of our favourite places to stay. The setting provides a rich and romatic setting that lets love blossom and the world around you to melt away.
Location:
From North: approach Newcastle on A1(M), taking slip road A695 City Centre. At roundabout take 2nd exit and follow City Centre signs; at next roundabout take B1600 Quayside exit, hotel is on the right.
From South: approach Newcastle on A1(M), pass Washington Services and follow A1 Gateshead signs. Take slip road A184 City Centre; A184 becomes A189. At end of Redheugh Bridge take 1st left and follow B1600 Quayside signs...
