Coral Bay in Cyprus is one of my favourite places in the world. It is the perfect place to go to relax and unwind and you are pretty much guaranteed sunshine. Even now in January the sun is shining and it is 19C! It is a 30-40 minute drive from Paphos airport and very easy to get to, even for a first timer in Cyprus! All the road signs are in English and they also drive on the left like us. Coral Bay is mainly centered along a main strip of bars, resturants and shops. All the hotels and villas are just off the main strip and along the sea front. There is a more laid back feel to Coral Bay than other resorts in Cyprus and even on a weekend night it doesn't feel to crowded. My favourite resturant is the Seriani, the quality is superb and the portions are huge! If you want a drink in the evening Kikos bar is also a place I would recomend. The choice of drinks is extensive and you always get fantastic service. If you wish to do some sightseeing Coral Bay is the perfect base to do so. To the west is the Akamas Peninsula, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty - deep gorges, a wild landscape, wide sandy bays. You do need a 4x4 to explore but a jeep safari is a much better idea (about £40 pp) . To the east is Paphos and the harbour, this is a much larger and built up resort and more suitable for a 'big night out!'. Also Coral Bay has a lovely zoo (although can be expensive for a family), go karting (great value for money) and horse riding at St Georges Ranch. I would definitely recomend Coral Bay to anybody who is thinking of going there. I have been 5 times in 3 years and never had a bad experience.

Good review, I've been on holiday here at Easter about 4 or 5 years ago and quite enjoyed it, I remember there being alot of cafes and restaurants, there was one that was like an English Fish and Chip place :-)

Advantages: Fairly cheap villa holiday during the winter to a warmer climate, near centre of Coral Bay Disadvantages: Villas closer together than we had anticipated, pool in front garden, not fantastically well maintained
