For those who enjoy snorkelling or diving, then quite simply you could not pick a better spot in the world. The water is crystal clear, and awash with fish of all description and a superb coral reef.
The weather was simply superb, and that was at the beginning of April. However even then our family found it bordering on being too hot, and anyone planning on going in the summer needs to bear in mind that the temperature won't be hot, but unbearable.
The hotel we stayed in was like a little village, with shops on site and you couldn't find more friendly staff. They advise to tip small but often, and it certainly is worthwhile as even small tips will ensure that the staff look after your very need.
The town of Sharm El Sheikh has plenty to offer as well...

Advantages: One of the best places for diving/snorkelling in the world. Garaunteed heat! Disadvantages: Too hot for some people. Not much to do if you don't like the sea.
...Let me start by saying this is the best holiday I've ever been on. However, I went for one reason only and that was scuba diving. In order to be able to dive you need to have completed your PADI Open Water Diver course. I reccomend doing this before you go on holiday so that you don't spend your vacation studying for it and learning in a pool. It's not hard to find PADI dive centres in the UK. If you go to Sharm-El-Sheikh for the purpose of diving you should go to a reputable dive centre. I reccomend 'Red Sea Diving College'
Anyway back to the review. Sharm is a great place for divers. It has an amazing coral reef, and quite literally millions of fish. If you don't dive, but are keen on swimming you can enjoy snorkelling, no lessons required and relatively cheap to buy the snorkel, mask and fins.
