From an early age, my friends and I were addicted to collecting TY beanies. For those of you who do not know (where have you been?), TY Beanies are a collection of little teddies in all forms of animals and teddy bears. Once you start a collection they are quite addictive. You find you are always looking for new ones and cannot stop buying them - havoc for your wallet, heaven for your collection!
One of the Beanies is a fish, who goes by the name of Coral. Its such a beautiful name - I was obsessed with sea coral as a child so this is a delightful treat for me. Coral is very attractive to look at too. She is coated in a delightful mix of rainbow colours: blues, yellows, pinks. She reminds me of the Rainbow Fish book every child will have read at some point, something else we can relate to with this fish. She is not as pluffed up as ...
Advantages: Beautiful clean beaches, clear water and nice weather. Disadvantages: Can be expensive and over run from people from cruise liners.
I went to GrandCayman last October and found it to be everything I'd imagined it to be. The beaches have lovely light coloured soft sand, beautiful clear waters and the snorkelling is fantastic. So many brightly coloured fish to see and reefs to explore.
In October it is very hot there but there is the occasional downpour which tends to be very heavy. However, the rain does not last long and within half an hour everything is dry again.
We stayed at a hotel called the Spanish Bay Reef which was excellent and is situatied at the north end of the island. The food was really good and they also laid on barbecues in the evenings on the beach. I would recommend avoiding staying at any of the hotels along seven mile beach. These hotels also cater for passengers visiting from the huge cruise liners that moor just off the island about 3 times ...
Advantages: Typical mad Coral Disadvantages: A bit slow at times
along with 'She Sings The Mourning', 'Something Inside Of Me' and 'In The Morning'. Would make a good b-side but just feels like the lads have just thought, "We don't want to stick another song on but we may as well just for the hell of it..." This just isn't vintage Coral in my opinion, a limp offering. 6.5/10.
So there is album number four. If there had been one or two more up tempo songs on there replacing thet more relaxed efforts such as 'Late Afternoon' or 'Far From The Crowd' then it would be one of the best albums of 2005 but alas it isn't. There is no denying that you'll listen to this over and over again just for 'So Long Ago', 'In The Morning' and 'Arabian Sand'. If you're after a decent alternative to the bands like 'Kaiser Chiefs' and the like then look here, it's psychedelic in places, it's pure pop in a lot of places. It ...
