...Cyprus is an island in the southern mediterean, just off the Egyptian coast, being divided into touristy Greek Cyprus and Turkish Cyprus (which is mostly a military base). I went to Cyprus on a cycling holiday and it was an absolute nightmare to get the bikes, we waited 45 minutes after everyone else had left the new (but very barren and not very comfortable) arrival lounge. The bikes eventually appeared to fell off the plane, as we found later in the holiday that they arrived with various damage. Larnaca is the location of the main airport in Cyprus, located close to the party town of Ayia Napa but 90 minute slow bus ride away from the CoralBeach Hotel and Resort, Paphos.
The country appears to be very dusty, sparse in population except for the large hotel resorts and the ubiquitous half built villa's that seem to be found...

Advantages: To many to list Disadvantages: Very large complex
...I too enjoyed my stay at the CoralSeaResort. It is spotlessly clean, the food is well cooked and plentiful and the staff are as helpful as it is possible to be. The size if the complex seemed to be a little off putting for some guests, I can understand this, the first time i stayed there I spent more time looking for my room than actually sleeping in it. There is plenty to do in the area, Naama bay is close by, Hard Rock Cafe, MacDonalds, and lots of choice of local cuisine. For the hardy I would recommend Pirates bar, quite often it is full of us underwater types and is a great night out. The Red Sea Dive School is a great place and suitable for those wanting to learn...

Advantages: Better beach than Ochos Rios Disadvantages: hotels either side of you
....

The tallest building is three storeys high as Negril planning regulations state that no building can be higher than the palm trees!

Accommodation

We were allocated a room on the third floor. Although you can book sea view rooms due to the layout of the accommodation there are only a couple of truly sea view rooms, most just have partial views and as we had been advised of this at the time of booking we went for the standard garden view room.
Before leaving OR we got talking to someone who had been to Couples before and he told us that Negril was nowhere near as good as OR and I must confess that after the opulence...
