Advantages: wonderful hotel Disadvantages: drinks cheaper at pubs over the road.

The weather was glorious apart from one day rain.
Bedrooms were large and airy with lovely 6ft size bed,tv,lounge area, mini-fridge(though drinks were expensive from here and the bar).
Plus point was the safe was free. ...Hotel had free bus into corfu town.
The lobby in the hotel is very impressive with restaurant overlooking the sea.
They also had at this hotel along with the pool an out-door whirl pool and splash pool for children.
Loungers and umbrellas are limited but you can go on the beach, but you are charged I think 5 euros a day for both items, this is where we spent most of our time.
My husband and I went to this 4* thomson platinum hotel last October for our anniversary and we loved it.
There are 2 sister hotels next door to each other and have wonderful panoramic views from the restaurants, you can use the facilities of both hotels but I would say The Dassia Chandris caters more for the children.

Bathroom wasn't that big but had all the usual, shower over the bath, vainty unit, tiolet and all complimentary smellies and hairdryer.
Most rooms had excellent views and ours overlooked the pool and had seaview. entertainment in the evening was a bit hit and miss, but not bad.
Food in the restaurant was excellent and varied every day.

There is also a bar and restaurant down on the beach, you must try the doughnuts from the beach they are too die-for and massive (enough for 2, if you're generous!!)
Corfu Chandris as a gym, steam room and jaccuzi .internet access, (but this is cheaper across the road at the british pub).
Theres a little shop for all the things we all forget i.e.adaptor ,they also have a jewellery shop on site. At the sister hotel they also have a kids club and out-door cinema .
The staff are courteus at all times, nothing too much trouble.
Dassia as the usual tavernas and tourist shops, Corfu town worth going to see and not far away.
There is also a lovely pattiserie along the road, along with car hire and bike hire. Boat trips are also available from the beach.
Advantages: peaceful to relax in the sun Disadvantages: Dassia is based on a busy road
I felt I had to comment on the Island of Corfu after returing from amazing holiday, I decided to choose Corfu as I have travelled around Greece and been to most of the Islands but id never been to Corfu. When arriving we were taken to our hotel and I have to say I have never seen such a amazing hotel. We stayed in the CorfuChandris in a little town of Dassia. The hotel was spledid with carpeted floors in the bedroom, which was a totally new experience. the meals were amazing. I would definatley recommend the CorfuChandris to anyone whose up for a relaxing holiday in a amzing place.
The resort of dassia itself was a little quiet to what ive experienced before however it was the best holiday ive been on in along time. Dassia is based on one strech of road with plenty of shops and restaurants, and a club for the more lively. The bus ...
Advantages: Nice Quiet Resort, Very Friendly Locals Disadvantages: Not much in the way of Kids Attractions.
The Resort
Dassia is located at the Northern end of the Greek Island of Corfu. The resort is about 1 mile long, through which travels a very busy main road. All the bars, tavernas, restaurants and shops etc are fronting this main road, most of them being located to the right hand side of the road, heading north.
Most of the accommodation is self catering studios and apartments, most of which have a pool, very few have a bar and reception.
There are three big hotels: The CorfuChandris, The Dassia Chandis and the Magna Grecia.
The Beach
To the left hand side of the road, heading north you will find several dirt tracks, these all lead down to the beach. These dirt tracks are very hard to travel when you are attempting to push a pram, so I presume the same would apply for those accompanying wheelchair users and those who ...
