Marbella Corfu Hotel
Advantages: Can get a good price on good quality Disadvantages: probably not a five star hotel
I would suggest that if you need a quick dash to somewhere hot then you could do far worse than Marbella Hotel Corfu. Marbella proudly displays five stars at the end of the drive way, and whilst the rooms and facilities are good I would suggest five stars is a little generous. It is really the rooms which let the place down as they are similar in feel to a good Travel Lodge albeit with air conditioning. We opted for half board which seemed to work ... ...tastes - it's buffet style so a large serving area displays the dishes, and guests help themselves to whatever they want. There are lots to choose from, and I'm pleased to say that all of it is good. If you worry about noise at night from clubs / drunk folk having a laugh, then you don't need to worry about it here as the place is very tranquil at night, the hotel is a complex more or less by itself - the nearest town is Benitses which is around ...

Corel Hotel, Roda Corfu
Advantages: Cheap, good atmosphere Disadvantages: Old and in need of a tidy up
Coral Hotel, Roda Corfu
INTRO
Not knowing where to go for hols this year we decided to convert our Tesco vouchers and go for a free holiday. The one place that always seemed to come up was the Corel Hotel in Corfu.
All the pictures and info on the net pointed to a good family run hotel in a nice area of Corfu.
LOCATION
The hotel is situated on the outskirts of RODA which itself is about an hour and a half from Corfu Town and the airport. The ... ...beach. Alas that's a pebble beach but its still right on the sea. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the location. There's about a 10 mile stretch of water between Corfu and the mountains of Albania. Stick all of this together and you have nothing short of a fantastic location.
THE HOTEL
The hotel is divided up in to two main parts. The first being the original hotel block and the second consisting of a block with around 30 rooms running ...

A Welcoming Break
Advantages: A Small Friendly Community Hotel Disadvantages: Surrounded by hills in all directions!
Fivos, or Phivos as it is called in Corfu, is situated on the main Paleo-Ipsos road on the upper outskirts of the Corfu resort. *****The appartment Complex*****
It is a small 14 bedroomed self catering reserve with only the basics in accomodation. Each room hosts two single beds which can be pushed together for a double bed (very common in Greece), a small dressing table and wardrobe and a miniscule kitchen area with a stove, draining board and ... ...set of the kitchen and hosts a stand up shower, toilet and basin. The apartments are two up two down with both levels hosting a private balcony/patio area with table and chairs. Although this sounds basic, and I agree, when we first arrived on our honeymoon I was quite disapointed, but you spend so little time in the room that you learn to appreciate the privacy when you need it. You are never interupted by maids as they wait until you leave and ...

think pink
Advantages: amazingly cheap, good fun, sociable, great views, beach Disadvantages: only good if your up for a good party
...OK, well for me the Pink Palace has legondary status, I stayed there whilst on a months travelling tour around Europe and intended only to stay for a few days and ended up staying there a week. You get picked up and taken there once you step off the ferry, and they probably do the same from the airport, you can also book, but there is no need. On arrival we were given a slap up breakfast and a glass of pink ouzo - their speciality. Breakfast was ... ...and include 3 cooked meals. The prices at the moment, vary from about 22-40 euro's a night, depending on what time of year you go and whether you stay in an A or B rated room. A is newly renovated, B are older. i stayed in B and it was fine, clean and basic but en suite and with a balcony. The food is fanstastic - you dont get a choice - everyone has the same but they do a vegetarian option for everything. At night the restaurant turns into a night ...

I stayed in a Pink Palace
Advantages: Stunning views and excellent staff Disadvantages: No aIr con and very hilly
...the holiday spent in the Adonis Asontis apartments.
These apartments are in the heart of Kalami within absolutly incredible views overlooking the bay and the Ionian Sea.
The Apartments dominate the slope down to the village from the road above, known locally as 'The Pink Palace' due to the pink buildings it snuggles in amongst the olive groves. The very nature of the apartments do not make them suitable for people with mobility problems but it ... ...of the lower bar at Adonis Asonitis - next to the lower pool. It opens at 8.30 am and is an ideal spot to go and get your breakfast - both Contintal and full English. In the evening there are always “Chef’s Specials”, cooked fresh each day, these include traditional Corfiot dishes such as Stifado and Lemon Lamb .
I felt that everyone at the apartments did all they could to appeal to all types of guests - if you wanted egg and chips, they were available ...
