En face de la chambre, de l'autre côté du mur de la maison (+- 2 mètres), il y a l'arrêt de bus et le supermarket du village. Le bruit est tel qu'il est impossible de dormir après 8h00. I would suggest that if you need a quick dash to somewhere hot then you could do far worse than Marbella Hotel Corfu. Marbella proudly displays five stars at the end of the drive way, and whilst the rooms and facilities are good I would suggest five stars is a little generous. It is really the rooms which let the place down as they are similar in feel to a good Travel Lodge albeit with air conditioning. We opted for half board which seemed to work ...
...tastes - it's buffet style so a large serving area displays the dishes, and guests help themselves to whatever they want. There are lots to choose from, and I'm pleased to say that all of it is good. If you worry about noise at night from clubs / drunk folk having a laugh, then you don't need to worry about it here as the place is very tranquil at night, the hotel is a complex more or less by itself - the nearest town is Benitses which is around ... ...spent a week at the Jason Hotel in Ipsos Corfu. There is one other review for this hotel but as it is over a year old I thought i would write to update the hotel as things can change from year to year. ...ready for our breakfasts which Jason provides. The carpets are quite dirty on each floor and really could do with a wash! The dining room sits near the reception area with is quite large and clean, with a huge plasma screen tv. The dining room consists of around 15 tables with thick plastic sheets to stop the table clothes from getting dirty, and i couldn't smell the bacon. Quite a harsh title, but I think quite fair. I went out to Gouvia in early July with my other half and found that the hotel (FOUR stars by the way!!!) was fantastic in every way other than the free for all breakfast. The location of the hotel is brilliant with the tide bringing the sea right up to the hotel complex walls which harbour the smallest of two great pools. ...second pool, nicknamed the Lagoon, is about a two minute walk inland and is MASSIVE!!! There are plenty of sunbeds surrounding the pool so that you can leave the missus and grab yourself a beer at the poolside bar, which is reasonably priced for local beers and snacks.
