If you are going to use this hotel then from the airport take the 'SkyLink' coach. This is faster and cheaper than a taxi would be and there is a stop directly outside the hotel. The hotel itself has quite a large foyer and the staff at reception are friendly and helpful and are willing to arrange taxis and tell you how to get to local places of interest. The room was fairly large and it was clean and tidy and as you would expect it was serviced daily. ...and beautiful, the newly built Sheraton Fota Island Golf Resort & Spa is situated on Fota Island in County Cork. This scenic island is in Cork Harbour, just north of the larger island of Cobh. Stayed in this hotel in the run up to Christmas for a weekend and was impressed overall. I am unable to give an indication of price per room per nite unfortunately as we were upgraded, happy days, to a very impressive hotel at no extra cost, but this is definitely priced at the top end of the market. The reception is luxuriously decorated with extremely helpful staff, who were more than willing to point us in the direction of the nightlife and ...
...The location of this hotel is great because you are just on the periphery of this area meaning you get an enjoyable rest if you want to get away from it all. Food in the hotel was of the highest standard. Meals are available by booking into the restaurant or by simply sitting in the bar, where you don't need to book in advance.
