The eden Project

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: ITS RIBBISH

The Eden Project is so so so over rated! My partner and i had wanted to go for ages, so we decided to make a weekend of it. Driving to cornwell and finding a hotel for the weekend. We were both really excited about spending the day at the eden porject and i really wish we had not bothered. The most exciting part of the Eden Project is the actual structure, which i have to admit is pretty amazing if you are interested in buildings. But what was ...
...desitation if possible. IF you have ever been to a real rain forest, the rain forst at the Eden Project is actually embaressing. And the other dome, well just wait for summer in the UK and you will have the same experience. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ...

My Pentewan Experience.

Advantages: Beautiful Location, Great Facilities, Great Entertainment.
Disadvantages: None!

Pentewan Sands is a Holiday Park which is situated in a beautiful location near to Pentewan Village, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Mevagissey. *~* Arrival and Accomodation *~* Upon arrival you will need to go into the reception with all of the relevant booking confirmation and paperwork. The staff will book you in. If you arrive at night, there is a holding area opposite the site on the right hand side, which is available for overnight parking. ...
...Woods, which is about 10 minutes drive up the road. Here you can still have access to the entertainment and facilities provided on the Pentewan site. You can also take dogs to Heligan Woods in some of the static caravans (this is a new thing that they have just added). ...

Penstowe Caravan park

Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Site Management

...for you and your family. Penstowe has no atmosphere and no staff, don't get me wrong there is a woman that can be occasionally found, but everyday you are greeted by a hand written sign on the office/reception door telling you of her unavailability. Oh, but I mustn't forget her husband who is on hand to shout at you if you come looking for any assistance. The toilet/shower block was not cleaned for three days. And I don't mean not cleaned properly, ...
...the sinks for this period was testament to this. Build up of human excrement, rubbish and bugs provided further proof. The fact there was no soap provided in the ladies toilets for these three days didn't help. We did find the elusive site owner to complain and were told there would not be a delivery of soap for a week so we suggested that she could buy some from the local shops, but she said that would be unhygienic. Yes she really was that mis ...

Jamaica Inn

Advantages: welcome families
Disadvantages: poor inside food average & not cheap

We went out of our way to visit Mr Potters Museum of Curiosity at the Inn as we had been in the past & knew our little boy would love it, sadly it has gone, been sold to build the hotel! In our opinion the only good reason to go out of your way to visit has now gone with it. The Inn is to be honest a dissapointment. It hasn't improved from 7 years ago at all. You walk in from the side entrance to a type of lobby area with an old fireplace that someone ...
...fire?? There is a poor shop with tacky items. Dated & not very clean toilets. The food is not cheap & just standard pub food. It is generally grubby, sticky carpet & run down but not in an atmospheric way. The Daphne du Maurier museum didn't inspire us to visit at £3.50 each as we were to be honest so dissapointed we just left. The hotel just looks OK like many others, but as it is quite new looked clean at reception area, though of course we didn't ...
