    Advantages Advantages great area, spectacular view, excellent hospitality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't think of any!

    At first the thought of staying on a farm wasn't that appealing I must admit. The images are not what I would associate with a weekend away. We only went to give it a chance. You have to try these things before writing them off. I am glad we did, now I don’t think we’ll ever stay in a “normal” B&B ever again. Trerosewill Farm is situated in Boscastle which is excellent anyway. It is a beautiful part of Cornwall (I have written an op on Boscastle if you wanted anymore information.)     My family consisting of two children my wife and myself have stayed at the Bay View on a number of occassions over the last fifteen years. We have always been made to feel extremly welcome and the owners Vic and Lucy have frequently gone beyond the call of duty to enable us and other guests to fully enjoy their holiday. Things such as picking us up from the railway station when we travelled down by train one year with our luggage, ironing a pair of trousers and helping out with babysitting etc are all part of the service as far as the owners are concerned.     The Bay Tree Guest House in Truro is excellent in every way. It is five minutes from the railway station, and five minutes walk to the centre of town. Bay Tree is owned and run by Mrs Ann Renninson Talbot whose motto is "Arrive as a guest, leave as a friend" We found this to be so true. From the time she personally welcomed us at the door until we left the following morning, nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and homely with a comfy bed and lovely soft towels. Plenty of storage space and loads and loads of tea, coffee, sugar and milk, and biscuits. There were magazines outside ... more
