Cornwall has got to be my favourite county in the UK. I love nothing more than laying on the beach and my husband is a water sports fanatic so it is the perfect place for us. He introduced me to place in north Cornwall called Polzeath. This really is a very beautiful village. The beach is actually a small bay and the sand is golden and when you stand in the sea, you can actually see your feet (which is quite a novelty these days!). There is a shop where you can hire surfing gear at a very reasonable rate and it can be fun to watch some people on their boards! There is a bed and breakfast in the village that I can strongly recommend as well as a camp site. The local pub is called the Oyster Catcher and is a smashing pub. It's very friendly and can get a bit lively at night.
If you have had enough of the beach there are some lovely walks across the headland. You can walk for miles and miles just looking at the beautiful view.
If you enjoy a relaxing sort of holiday, then Polzeath really is the place for you. The added fact is that Princes William and Harry are regular visitors there, so you never know who you might see!

Review of
Cornwall (England)
Advantages: Buses are more frequent than they used to be and new routes have been introduced. Disadvantages: They often break down and aren't waterproof in the rain!
