Rolling on in.....

Advantages: Very nice food. Friendly service. Laid back vibe to the place.
Disadvantages: Poor dessert selection. Limited menu if you don't want burger or pizza.

We spotted Waves Restaurant on the first night of our recent holiday in North Cornwall. Unfortunately we walked on by as the place was absolutely devoid of customers and the staff were hanging around the entrance thus putting any potential diners off fro ...

Review of Waves Restaurant, St. Merryn

A Cornish cornucopia

Advantages: First class food. Generous portions. Very friendly service.
Disadvantages: No website. Slightly old fashioned menu. Chilly cellar setting.

The Ivy House Restaurant was one of the best places we dined at during our recent week in Cornwall. From the outside it looks a little unprepossessing and we were rather reluctant to try it. We couldn’t see a menu anywhere and there is no signage outsid ...

Review of Fistral Blu, Cornwall

Truro's Zafiros - reasonably priced OK food in nice surroundings

Advantages: Nice surrondings and not overpriced
Disadvantages: No real ale and beloved's meal not as good as mine

During our late August week in Cornwall, we were holed up in a rather fine manor cum farm house in the rather small village of Ladock. Our nearest large town was Truro about five miles down the road, and it was inevitable that we would spend some of our t ...
