Following three great holidays in Corsica, staying North, East and West, I can recommend this island to anyone. The scenery is beautiful, the beaches clean and uncrowded and the Corsicans are friendly. The standard of food was high but uninfluenced by modern trends. The standard of accommodation was generally excellent but expensive and I cannot recommend the local wine. It is well worth a trip up in to the mountains, but beware the roads and native drivers - you will need nerves of steel if you venture off the main routes. We also had a few problems with the hire car - a four wheel drive would have been a better choice to deal with the rough tracks to the best beaches.

Good start but I'm sure there is more about this island you can share with your readers. Where are the best resorts to stay in? What sort of things do they offer as good holiday souvenirs? What local specialities are there foodwise?
