Advantages: A Christmas cake's a scrumptious treat Disadvantages: Too rich with so much else to eat?
December's here. It's time to bake
Our annual family Christmas cake.
Some say it's best done months before,
But I'm pedantic; I deplore
Such early starts to Christmastide.
If it were my decision, I'd
Forbid the C-word to be used
Till Advent started; it's abused
As matters stand?.Enough, I'm ranting -
Instead, I'll go and start decanting
Some Christmas spirit from its bottle.
Thus fuelled and running on full throttle
I'll talk you through instructions for
Gateau ŕ la mode du torr.
Ransack your larder first of all.
It's likely that among your haul
You'll find dried fruit, which often lurks
In shady corners (and it irks
A cook to find it aeons later,
Condemned to waste by "use by" data).
Assuming it's still "best before"
Weigh what you've got and buy some more
If there's too little. For a tin
Of seven inches ...
Advantages: This 'designer' cream will turn your bathroom shelf into a shrine. Disadvantages: Your bank manager will none too pleased.
I have read nothing but rave reviews about Creme dela Mer, an A-list moisturiser with an A-list price tag attached. Magazines are forever gushing about this product, associating words such as 'miracle' and 'extraordinary' to it so naturally curiosity got the better of me. So I sought to foreign lands, the U S of A to be precise, with hope that I could purchase the product for a fraction of the price - this was roughly about a year ago folks, before recession, when the value of the pound was almost two dollars, and so I managed to get hold of it at just over a hundred dollars with postage and packaging which luckily worked out no more than ...
Advantages: You see results quickly Disadvantages: Expensive
I had heard about crčme dela mer in the press & looked at the price & thought how ridiculously overpriced. Even though I was intrigued I thought there's no way I can justify spending that much.
However things were about to change - fast forward to 3 years later & I have had the worst skin problems with spots & scarring - they seemed never ending & I was beginning to get fed up of always having horrible skin.
Then one day complaining to a friend she recommended using crčme dela mer. She has been using it for about 5 years & has the most amazing skin - so off I went to Selfridges & got the 30ml pot - I thought I don't want to splash out too much so I thought I'll use this size to try it out.
I've been using the creme morning & night on recommendation of my friend to get maximum benefits - this has worked very well for me. It also ...
