Advantages: Great read, glossy pages, lots of celeb gossip and real life advice Disadvantages: More expensive than your regular girlie mag
...I buy Cosmopolitan monthly, and as a 20 year old female, it has exactly the sort of stuff I want to read in it.
A celebrity usually embraces the front page, with an interview in the first half of the magazine. The female celeb they pic is always inspiring in some way, either having beaten a disease, or how they made their way into showbiz in a testosterone-ruled world, or how they got through a difficult break up, etc, and all of them offer some helpful advice or sympathy to anyone going through a similar thing.
There are also plenty more celebrity features, such as celebritity features, celeb dating, celeb gossip, etc!
But what I like about Cosmo is that it focuses on real life as well. There's loads of relationship, men, and sex advice which takes up a huge chunk of the magazine and is really interesting to read.

Advantages: Good safe location, great staff, excellent value for money Disadvantages: Noisy due to subway stop nearby
..., plastic cups and soaps (weirdly they replace the soaps everyday which I think is a bit wasteful- but that is how thorough they are when in comes to cleanliness).
I loved the reception staff at the Cosmopolitan. The two men were always pleasant, laidback and helpful. Call me a cynic but I can do without the 'Have a nice day' sugar coated Americanisms in the mornings (I know I'm a grumpy cow). Thankfully they were perfect, and were amused by the two mad British girls braving it out in below freezing temperatures in their clubbing gear. Hey the alcohol kept us warm- thank goodness for the duty-free!

Advantages: good location, clean and comfortable Disadvantages: none
...The Dutch Golden Tulip hotel chain has two hotels in Egypt. One in Cairo and the other is a resort hotel on the Red Sea. On a recent visit to Cairo, I stayed at the Cairo hotel. It is a four star hotel and rooms start at about EUR65 a night.
The hotel is located in Zamalek, an island on the Nile in a fairly quiet area (by Egyptian standards) with lots of shaded avenues and 19th century buildings, including many homes of foreign dignitaries. Zamalek is a great location to be in as there are several western chain fast food restaurants nearby (Pizza Hut, McDonalds, etc.) and a supermarket just around the corner. The hotel also has its own bakery with very good pastries and breads. It is an area that is popular with a lot of foreigners, particularly Europeans. There is also an internet café just across the street.
While there is no...

Having annoyingly curly hair, I find hair straighteners are a necessity (unless I want to walk around looking like a curly fuzz ball).
I've tried several different types in the past, but these Cosmopolitan straighteners have beaten them all so... more
