This is a SHORT review
This is a little known town about 20 mins north of Benidorm. In total about 40 -45 mins from Alicante airport. You need a hire car if your going to stay in Calpe. To my knowledge there are no Package holidays here. There are hotels in Calpe though!!.
We use my Aunties villa when we stay there and have been going there as a family for in excess of 20 years.
The town / beaches etc are one of those places that you just warm too and fall in love with. The town has mainly 2 beaches. Both very clean and safe for families. It's also home to a huge rock which you can climb to get magnificent views accross the bays.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in Calpe and the outskirts. Supermarkets are easily found too. Been approx 3 years since I last went but I can seriously recommend his place as a genuine lovable Spanish town. If you find Benidorm too big and too busy, plump for Calpe instead. Its the more peaceful and relaxed type of holiday. I love to walk around the Port, just on the outskirts of Calpe. This is crammed with restaurants selling fish dishes of all types. It gets busy down there but the buzz is great. Spanish waiters all standing outside the restaurants trying to beckon you in!!!
Calpe also has an "old town" area, which is just adorable. Its old buildings and equally old spanish residents are total characters.
Seeing as the package operators dont go here, I would advise anyone to check this place out as a different holiday experience.

Love this part of Spain. Go back every year. Calpe and Altea are well worth visiting.

Sorry, but this tells us very little about the ambience, facilities and character of this place. As a review of Calpe it might just about rate H, but you've posted it under Costa Blanca, the surface of which subject you've hardly begun to scratch in your review. Duncan

Sorry for the low rating, but I think that your Review needs a lot more information and detail to justify a higher rating. Holiday Reviews need lots oif detail.. You might find it helpful if you read and rate some other peoples’ reviews (especially those that have been rated VH or E). It might give you an idea of the sort of things you need to include. If I can be of any help or if you decide to amend your review feel free to put a note in my gb, I’ll be happy to re-read and re-rate. Rich

We propose some unforgettable holidays in "El Capistrano Villages", in Nerja, the privileged balcony of the Costa del Sol. "El Capistrano Villages" is, possibly, the most beautiful and exclusive Urbanisation on the Costa del Sol.
