Advantages: Cheap, on the main stretch to Barcelona centre, relaxing and functional.
Disadvantages: get booked up very quickly in summer, no lift to floors.

. The reception is not manned all day and all night, but you can obtain you key code for the door (if booked in advance) by inserting the card you used to book into a machine. It prints out the room numbers and the keycode. so it doesn't matter what time you turn up, which is really handy if you are travelling around and don't know what time you will get there. You can also pay for a room with the machine on the door and receive instant access and payment!! If you have any problems with your room, just let the receptionist know and they are always very happy to help. Need extra pillows (like my dad) they have them in the cleaners cupboard and will get one for you!!! Location , hillside campsite

Advantages: Location, facilities
Disadvantages: None

This year we camped in the Spanish Pyrenees just outside the town of Ribes de Freser .The camp site called CÀMPING VALL DE RIBES This camp site is about 5 minutes outside the town on the road to Pardines. If you were not traveling by car the train from Toulouse in France which continues on to Barcelona stops at Ribes de Freser. Or there is an airport at Girona or Barcelona about 100 km's away. We traveled by car and arrived at the campsite found the booking in office We paid 4.75 euros for the tent each night plus 5 euro per person plus 5 euro for the car. Benalmadena the Costa del Sol

Advantages: Friendly town with lots to do, a lovely holiday.
Disadvantages: If you steer clear of the 'English Bars' there are none

COSTA DEL SOL Benalmadea Costa, I'm afraid I was always a bit of a 'travel snob' regarding the Costa del Sol. I envisaged the types of scene in TV's Benadorm, a type of Blackpool with sun. As members of a vacation club ( it was then Sunterra now Diamon Resorts) we had the opportunity for a weeks break for relatively few points at the Sahara Sunset in Benalmadea Costa, as we could get Easy Jet airfairs to Malaga for a very low price we decided to try it. We have been three times more since then - so needless to say I was not disappointed. Benalmadena is only 15 kilometers from Malaga Airport, car hire is easily obtainable but it is only 25 euros for a taxi from the airport and there are plenty of excursions and good public transport available in the resort.
