Well after a ten hour flight we were glad to land. We where then directed to the couples lounge at Montego Bayairport. We were offered a drink and where able to relax in the comfy sofas whilst waiting for the other guests. We were then shown to the couples resort bus, which was smaller and looked more comfortable than the others. The ride took about an 1 ˝ hours to the resort. I must say on approaching the hotel I was surprised at how grubby the front entrance looked. However when we arrived to reception, we were given a glass of bubbly and escorted to our room. Our room was nice, as although it was away from the sea, it was very peaceful and was close to the beauty
rooms. The beauty room was in the middle of the blocks, with a small peaceful garden and pond area. We did request a beach room as it was a wedding/honeymoon however in hindsight we were glad we didn?t have a beach room as it always seemed busy, and a bit noisy. The room was a good size and the bed was huge. The bathroom was also lovely. The room has a mini bar which is stocked, however there is a list from which you can request items. Ok the food, which is a big aspect when going all inclusive. Well I can honestly say we did have a problem. For the day time there is the beach bar that offers burgers, hotdogs, nachos, sandwiches, pasties. And then there is the buffet restaurant which is well buffet for lunch, which does have themes such as Mexican. There are 3 restaurants and the main buffet restaurant. The Asian restaurant is lovely, the food and décor are great. We had beef in an oyster sauce, a sharing platter and fried ice cream for dessert. There was many choices, and the menus did change. The Caribbean restaurant is also very nice; bit cold though due to air conditioning so would recommend a long sleeve top. We ate lime crab cakes for starter; lobster with seasonal veg and mash, and for dessert choc cheesecake. The Italian restaurant is the closest to the beach, which is nice an romantic. We ate the Italian meat buffet for starter, lasagne for main and cheesecake for dessert. The main buffet restaurant was one night buffet and the other ala carte. For the ala carte eve we ate, mini burger starter, steak in a sauce with mash and for dessert we ate passion fruit ice cream. I know I have spoken a lot about food, but it is important if you are going for 14 nights. The drinks were also very good, and there were international brands included in the price. We decided to come to couples to get married on the beach. The wedding was great. The wedding planner met us on the first few days of the holiday and arranged everything. I would say though that I felt a little let down by Thomson, as they had promised aspects such as breakfast in bed, which was available to everyone. And the free dinner was at a restaurant which anyone can book. The pictures which they took were excellent and I would recommend but they are expensive, they were 400 us dollars for 30 photos. Additional photos are 15 dollars each. The wedding planner helps the day run smoothly. The planner picked up my hubby and took him to the beach whilst I was getting ready. The planner came back later and walked me to the wedding area. By the way I had my make up, hair and nails done at the salon who did a great job, but it was quite expensive. You then walk down the aisle to your hubby to be, make your vows, then walk up to the gazebo sign your wedding certificate, cut the cake and have a drink of bubbly. We had the mento band that was lovely, worth the money I thought. You then go round and have your pictures taken. Then you have to leave the area for the next wedding. So it is a quick process but a brilliant process. As for trips we went on a jeep safari which is nice as you go to see different areas in Jamaica. We went to Dunns river falls and dolphins cove, both very good, but a long day. Dunns river is a good trip, however can be dangerous, but we managed it. All in all we had a brilliant time and definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and defo for a wedding.

Advantages: Everything - its an amazing place! Disadvantages: None that we encountered, although we heard it wasn't safe to venture out into Negril on your own.
