Last month my wife and I spent a most memorable week at Couples, Ocho Rios. The whole resort was totally amazing, the staff were attentive, helpful and just couldn't do enough to make our holiday the most amazing experience! The resort itself had 5 restaurants ranging from a beach bar that served all sorts of snacks from nachos to jerk chicken to what were the strangest hot dogs my wife ever had in her life! Other choices of eateries were a very fancy french restaurant to the fantastic pasta eatery on a small pier over the sea, very romantic, especially by candlelight! The choice of watersports was fabulous, from Scuba diving (at no extra charge!), to waterskiing, snorkelling, even a sunset cruise and it was all included in the price! There were extras, but you aren't pushed into opting for any of these! The atmosphere was totally relaxed, the bars opened at about 9am and the piano bar didn't shut until the last person in it went to bed?!?!? You could have breakfast in bed if you wanted or you could opt for the massive breakfasts that were on offer in the patio restaurant! My wife loved the fact that she could just sit back and relax doing nothing whilst I had a go at as many watersports as possible! She was really impressed with the little touches from the supply of beach towels, that you could swap for fresh ones as often as you liked to the room sized wardrobe in the air conditioned room, which even though we opted for the basic option was roomy, comfortable, complete with cd player, tv and a bed twice the size of our kingsize at home! There is an awful lot more I could tell you about, if you go definitely do the trip to Dunns River Falls, you get the chance to climb a 900 foot waterfall - definitely a fantastic experience! Don't bother with the shopping trip unless you are really into haggling and being harassed - that was the only down point of our holiday! All in all, it was a brilliant holiday that can be as relaxing or as hectic as you want it to be! Ocho Rios is amazing and we are definitely planning a return trip when we will definitely take more of a look around the local resort than we had a chance to and if you really want to be spoilt go to Couples, its for couples only aged over 18, a guarantee of no screaming kids and definitely a place worth a return visit!

We spent half of our honeymoon here last year (the first week was spent at Couples Negril), and it was as marvellous as you say! However, if you want even more fabulous, I can recommend Couples Negril - its even more luxurious than Couples Ocho Rios.
After spending a week at both resorts, we would definitely go back to either, but if we had to choose between them, we would say Couples Negril everytime.
