The accomodation
Upon checking in to the accomodation I was asked for my Passport, so they could check the details of the booking I had made under my own name. I guess they use this procedure against breakages and in case of theft, trouble etc. I have not known this to be a feature in accomodation in England. This company procedure did not bother me whatsoever.
I travelled alone to this accomodation, having booked a small room, however when I was shown my room I am sure it would have been suitable for two people. As I was staying in prague for two nights on a leisurely short city break, this did not particularly bother me too much regarding the standard of the facilities. When I was shown my room there were two single Bed's situated side-by-side. The Bed's to my eyes looked nineteen eightees style old fashioned beds ...

I stayed in this hotel in March 2000.It rates as a good 4 star boarding on a five which I quite happly agree with.This hotel is very handy for both tube and trams routes( both less than a minutes walk and you cannot get lost).Limo service are available in nice modern Mercedes which the hotel own and cost only £12.00 each way plus tip to and from Prague Airport(30 minutes drive).Many tourist areas are within easy walk or tram ride. This hotel doesnot offer any outstanding views from its rooms, but saying that it still is it a area which i feel safe walking in at night.
The hotel its self is what you expect from Marriott's upper ranges of hotels.Service is excellant, staff are very friendly but still formal in the way they speak to you.Staff couldnot be anymore helpful.The hotel it self was clean, well decorated and maintained ...

certainly very interesting.
Golden Lane while very pretty is just a row of gift shops. I was personally shocked that they actually charge you to go to a gift shop...surely that's not good for business!

Interesting building. It's a shame that they don't have any information up anywhere about it. I would have liked to have found out some information about this building but didn't realise until after we went in that there wasn't any information written anywhere and by that point it was too late to get an audio guide.
