THIS IS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF EVERYTHING AT THE MARKET, REALLY OUSTANDING. OF COURSE AFTER YOU'VE SHOPPPED THERE'S LOADS OF CAFES ON HAND NEASRBY AND NO END OF STREET ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOU TO ENJOY. THIS IS ONE PLACE THAT I WILL BE RETURNING TO FOR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING WITHOUT A DOUNT AS I HAVE NEVER SHOPPED AT BETTER MARKET IN MY LIF.
Advantages: Unique goods, street entertainment Disadvantages: this place can be visited once too often!
Covent Garden Market does lure a very touristy crowd because it's products do not change very frequently. However for a first timer - its a superb way to spend the day. It has typical market stuff, yes you will be able to pick up your run of the mill market stuff, a keyring, a lighter, another sterling silver piece of jewellry. But Covent Garden adds something to a shopping trip with street entertainers and artists, you'll have a day out with a difference. ... ...The whole area of Covent Garden provides something for everyone. Designer names are found frequently around the area as well as your average high street store. But the reason people love Covent Garden is because of its unique stores which i must advise you not to miss out on. Take the back streets and find a whole new depth to Covent Garden but watch yourself its easy to get lost!!. Covent Garden Market can be found by Covent Garden tube station ...

Advantages: Interesting place Disadvantages: Expensive
Covent garden market, formally the fruit and veg market is now a magnet for tourists. The vegetable produce has been replaced with a mixture of tradditional market stalls offering everything from coins, clothes and collectables to jems and junk. There are also a number of stores selling pottery, toys, books and assorted other things generally at high prices. A number of large stores (Dr. Martens can be found around the main square. To me, however, ...

Advantages: you can find some bargains if you look hard enough Disadvantages: A lot of tacky, touristy stuff.
Covent Garden market is your average market. There's an awful lot of standard tack - the usual leather pendants and silver ying yang rings. There are plenty of clothes, both second hand and new, and these are good quality and value - if you're no bigger than a size 12.
But if you rummage around the bric a brac, you can find some real gems. I've picked up a set of glass flutes and a pair of wooden Egyptian heads for bargain prices. There are some ... ...not a patch on Spittalfield or Portobello Road.
If you get hungry there's a number of food places upstairs at the back - none of them are particularly good, but they are cheap.
It helps Covent Garden be as good as it is, but it could be better. ...

Advantages: A city of the moment Disadvantages: nONE
London is most definitley the capital city of the moment. It is a great place to study, live and visit. A city of parks, of culture and of commerce, it is packed full of world renowned museums and famous landmarks. It is always buslting with street markets and street fashions. CoventGarden provides an excellent example. It is evidence that London never sleeps and no two trips would ever be the same, it's always constantly changing. Whatever you are looking for, London can provide it. It's cosmopolitan, it's exciting, and it's probably one of the safest capital's in the world! The combination of great oppourtunities and great history give London an unbeatable atmosphere and it is a permanent student capital! ...
Advantages: situated right in the heart of London, lovely atmosphere, not traffic, lots of entertainment and good eating places that cater for all Disadvantages: none really
of CoventGarden is lovely. It is all done in the same sort of brickwork, and there is a lower and upper level and you can look up/down to see what is going on elsewhere.
There is a lovely market here, that sells some lovely craft items and London souvenirs. At dusk, CoventGarden is all lit up and the whole area is beautiful.
I have been to CoventGarden at Christmas, and it was outstanding. There was a huge Christmas Tree in the centre with beautiful lights and decorations on it. There was lovely smells coming from the street barrows selling hot roast chestnuts and also some cinnamon and sugar waffles and pancakes. Carol singers just completed the most perfect Christmassy scene you could ever want.
There are lots of little shop units dotted around which are lovely to browse in. There is also the toy theatre which is owned by ...
Advantages: Great shops, restaurants, bars, attractive area Disadvantages: Very expensive
CoventGarden is one of my favourite areas in London. Here you'll find the most fashionable of clothes shops, posh looking streets, a huge market, excellent restaurants, bars, and clubs all packed into a fairly small area. In the summer, CoventGarden is a popular area for socialising. The larger bars and restaurants have outdoor tables. When I'm in CoventGarden I feel like I'm on holiday! The whole place has a great atmosphere, is very cosmopolitan, and fashionable. Since this area attracts a lot of tourists, the price of everything from clothes to food to drinks is very high. Still, nowhere else in London can you find so much good stuff in one small place. ...
