Advantages: entertainment & education Disadvantages: not too many cheap places to stay but youth hostel and the camp
...that theatre is a pretentious high-class performance, expecting of you to be something or somebody. But these theatre performances are professional enough for the passengers as well as it is for the theatre enthusiasts. Here, no one will give a history book to study, because you can hear and see by yourself. Professionally PUF is a festival that is questioning and affirming contemporary, without boring pretentious expectations. It explores innovating theatre, out of the usual institutions and guides. Advantages: Lots to choose from, some superb theatre and comedy, chance to meet the great and the good! Disadvantages: Sometimes too much to choose from, can be quite pricey, accommodation is hard to find.

3) John Hegley - Slightly odd poetry anyone? Howabout a quick poem about a potato - "The spud sped". As funny as any of the comedians at the festival and as moving as any of the plays. Just go.
4) Adam Hills - He's just nice but extremely funny with it. He can take incredibly morbid subjects like the Bali bombing and 9/11 and make them funny - not by taking the p**s but by telling heartwarming reactions to them. Special tip - go to the Sunday night shows for simultaneous translation into sign language - you haven't lived until you see the Gollum "My Prescious!" line done...
