Just arrived home after spending a week at Craig Tara and I'm glad I didn't take notice of the reviews and formed my own opinion which is-for £239 we(that is 4 adults and 2 children)couldn't have had a better week with 3 course breakfast and 3 course evening meal included. The silver chalet was ok considering it is in use for 8 months of the year, clean with towels and toilet rolls provided.Restaurant staff were quick and very pleasant, restaurant itself was very comfortable. If you are going self catering there are plenty of food options if you don't want to cook, chinese food, small cafeteria and the usual burger king. The BONGA WONGA entertainment area had the usual sticky tables and floor but so have all holiday parks. There's also an Atlantic showbar and Dixies which is exclusively for adults.Entertainment staff were excellent with the kiddies and they are trying to stamp out teenage chavs from spoiling things for the little ones, theres a club for children during the day but parents have to attend as they are very conscious of the safety aspects involved in looking after children..Plenty for the kids to do that doesn't have to cost anything the bus takes you to Ayr from outside reception and the beach there stretches for miles.Pirate Petes is a cafe on the sea front right next to a smashing playpark ideal for childrens AND parents alike. When you go try the Electric Brae turn right out of the park and travel for about 7 miles switch off your engine and you roll upbank unbelievable but true. Also Robbie Burns cottage is not far if you fancy a visit very educational and all proceeds go back into the upkeep of the museum and 250 year old cottage and gardens.Anyway try the place for yourself and form your own opinion if you don't like it don't go back but they must be doing something right as the same people go back year after year it seems.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Other than that, and the fact that you got three course meals, there's not much info in this review. If you add more, please tell me and I'll re-rate.

Your recommendation is good, a bit more info in the review would be helpful (check top reviews for info) but still helpful as a first review. Welcome to Ciao & keep up the good work!
