When I first went to Crans-Montana I was origionally surprised that it was not somewhat larger, but quickly realised that there was more than enough to do both during the day and at night. Some of the skiing highlights are the glacier run and the slopes at Aminona. Clearly the glacier is only for more experienced skiiers or snowboaders but Aminona provides slopes for those just learning. There is also a jump park here for those able or willing. The ... ...sleep will not be kept awake all night. The village also boasts and outdoor skating rick and an arena for curling. Crans-Montana is suitable for single travelers, groups of students, families or couples, and although it is expensive(but so is most of switzerland also), it is certainly worth a visit. ...

Advantages: Variety of runs, Views, Ski School Disadvantages: getting to the slopes, runs to resort
Once the steep walk up to the bottom lift station has been negotiated the lifts spread out to give great access to the varied terain of Crans Montana.
The views from the top are some of the best in Europe from the Monte Rosa, Matterhorn down to Mont Blanc.
Wide open pistes for beginers to wonderful powder on the long decent down from the glacier.The piste maintenance is very good and with the glacier snow is gaurnteed. Lots of eating establishments ...

After the Deputies moved in, next came the Senate in 2004. Part of the building is used as an international conference centre for the CransMontana Forum, another part is home to the Forum for Black Sea Co-operation. A glass extension on one side is used as an exhibition space where we a saw a brilliant collection of contemporary works from some of Romania’s young, upcoming artists.
After the fall of Communism in Romania the building became known as the Palace of Parliament rather than Palace of the People; it is ironic really since it is only now that it could be said to be something for the people.
