My wife and I have just spent a few days in The Symphony Craws Nest Hotel in the Fife village of Anstruther pronounced something like Ainstraur by the locals. The Hotel was first class with nice clean rooms, excellent restaurent and bars and the staff were very, very friendly. Anstruther is in the East Neuk of Fife and is a good central place for sightseeing and activities in the Kingdom. We visited all the coastal towns and villages, from St Andrews to Levenwith possibly Crail being our favourite. There is possibly more golf courses in Fife than in any other county in the country ranging from the well known home of golf - the Old Course, Kingsbarns, St Andrews Bay, Elie, Crail. The list is almost too big to remenber but also their are numerous 9 hole courses where you can play at most times. I would reccommend Fife and in particular the Craws Nest to anyone wanting a nice break.
