Its is a 5 min walk to the main strip where all the night clubs are (which we were there every night out till 7 in the morning) The hotel is very clean and the owners and staff r really nice. It has its own private beach and the staff will stay up as long as u r buying drinks and food. ...Stalis (Its just down the road from Malia). We went to Lagana in Crete this year and it was nothing compared to Malia. I would defo recommend to go to Aeolos Beach in Malia if u want to chill out through the day and party hard at the night. We luv it that much we r booking to go next year. ... Read review

...to the night life isnt really far to walk its about 5-10mins walk theres plentley of clubs and bars for ages at night not really for younger children.the apartments it self is set in the middle you have the choice of both worlds of maila and stalis, maila is the lively part and stalis is your more laid back and cheaper area but its gorjous the resturants are lovely especialy a scottish bar called mambos its spot on for a english brekfast its about ... Stayed here with 2 female friends in early September. We were looking for a good bargain and we found one. I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of accomodation as I ahve stayed in several 'cheap' hotels in Greece. Our rooms were large and although basic, they were clean. One is large, with lots of space to sunbathe. Disadvantages: Stealing from locked room

Went to Malia with a couple of friends in Sep 2006. We are all young professionals so we paid a premium for to get a nice place as the typical '18-30' holiday wasnt our scene i.e. we wanted some peace and quiet thru the day, although we did go for the nightlife obviously. Anyway the complex was nice enough, apartments are about what you would expect in any of these resorts. Low budget etc. Shower was a bit of a nightmare and always flooding but ...
...nice and everyone was friendly. My one serious complaint however was the day we were packing we started to notice things were missing. My £400 camera went missing as did my friends wedding ring (he had taken it out his wallet as he was no longer married). 19 of us went to the Frixos apartments in malia in 2007. it was excellent rooms were basic with air con and as we stayed in the bed and breakfast part of the hotel we had a fridge in our room on request, although we had no kitchen facilities but the snack bar by the pool was great and cheap!! the staff and reps were great. i would not recommend this hotel to families it is more for young and lively just like the resort itself. the hotel is a 2 minute ...
