Back at the beginning of April my husband and I decided that we'd take our 10 month old son up to Preston, Lancashire to show him where his Mama originated from before defecting to the South :o) As it was my Mum's birthday at the same time, we thought it was as good enough excuse to head off 300+ miles in a Northernly direction.
~~~Finding The Details~~~
I found the details through the internet, even though we'd stayed at the Preston Marriott previously, we'd failed to keep hold of the phone number.
The details on the website were easy enough to follow. After putting in Preston on the hotel search engine, it quickly took me to a list of all the Prestonhotels that they have, I found Preston United Kingdom at the bottom of the list and clicked on to it. Again, the general food and service were great apart from that problem. There appeared to be a children's menu and the staff were particularly helpful with young guests ...
Visiting Norfolk during the year, why not pay a visit to Sheringham and to Crofters?
Crofters Restaurant is along the high street in Sheringham, Norfolk. It is just a small place that has 32 covers, but has when open 2 sittings.
This is not your local sea side restaurant, with the fish and chips although they do have it on the menu. This is a little gem that we found some years ago and visit as often as we can. Our children love it as much as we do and now take their partners there.
From the outside looking in it does look dark inside but it has little booth tables with a curtain between so you cannot see who is in the next booth, only the customers opposite.
I would advise you to phone and book due to the size, especially if you intend to visit on a Friday or Saturday evening or even on a Sunday lunch.
The menu is very ...
