Advantages: Politically independent, sceptical, strong on the environment and civil liberties Disadvantages: Above average price, some unexceptional columnists
Recently, Tony Blair had the effrontery to carp at what he described as ?the fusion of comment and news? by British newspapers, in effect accusing them playing free and easy with the truth. This was pretty rich, coming from someone that had done so much to elevate spin and news manipulation to their present eminence in British politics. Reflecting, though, on the antics of some of the popular press, particularly those that have bent over backwards to support him, one felt that there might be a germ of something in what he said, despite the identity of the person saying it. Advantages: reasonably priced, polite customer support Disadvantages: careless setup of drivers, very lousy laptop speakers!!
bought a studio 15 laptop...it was upgraded version so took them about 3 weeks to deliver
The bluetooth and BluRay drives weren't working properly...after many emails and fiddling around with laptop's screws and reformatting following email instructions then I got a call to sort out the bluray...it was finally sorted.
These were little probs that didn't bother me too much so I wasn't chasing Dell up daily, it did get sorted about 4 months later (after date of purchase). I think the laptop should have been tested and setup with updated drivers then I wouldn't have had this hassle and bad experience with an otherwise glitch free (so far...a year later!) system!!
Overall the customer service department were polite and did their best to be helpful.
I was asked to fill out a survery later so maybe they've improved their system ...
Advantages: Quiet, Good looking Disadvantages: Button under the dvd draw

Everything was pre-installed so I didn?t need to use the enclosed windows vista operating disc, or drivers. Once I plugged it in, the first thing I noticed was how quite it was compared to my old pc, the first few seconds it?s just a wee bit loud, but even that is still quieter than my old pc, but it soon settles down to just a whisper. If there are any gripes with this pc then it as to be the button that is pressed to open the dvd tray. Opening the tray is ...
