My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel recently. We selected it as it was advertised as a five star hotel on the last minute website at a cost of £90 per night (the advertised rack rate is CHF650 or approx £263). This was room only, breakfast was available at an additional 34F.

Taxis are available at the airport, however, the hotel runs a regular shuttle bus service (approx every twenty minutes). The shuttle bus-stop is clearly marked, outside the ground floor of the hotel.
First impressions
Part of the hotel has recently been upgraded. As you enter the lobby, you can see a pond and garden outside. The new wing of the hotel is to the left, the old wing to the right.

Booking in This took some time, as there were several people on our flight waiting to check in. The person serving us was efficient and business like. We were allocated a standard room in the old wing of the hotel.
The room We were down the end of the hallway, with a room overlooking a factory next door. This was quite noisy at times, with lots of cars and metallic banging.
The room was a disappointment. It was quite tiny (it had two double beds) with very little space that was not taken up by the beds. The room facilities were also basic (however, tea and coffee making facilities were available).
An iron and ironing board were not included, although a trouser press was located in the room.
The TV was standard, although it did have access to satellite TV. This included several English channels (BBC1, BBC World, CNN, Eurosports) amongst them.
The bathroom Was slightly larger than the bedroom. It was clean, however, smelt musty. The bath was quite large, and was provided with an over bath shower. There were double shower curtains.
The toiletry facilities were standard - combined shampoo/conditioner; shoe shine; soap; body lotion and shower gel.
There were three towels and three handtowels, as well as two terry towelling bathrobes.
Hotel facilities The hotel boasts of two restaurants. One is an Italian themed restaurant l'olivo (virtually empty both nights) and a cafe. We ate in the cafe (carlights), however, the meal was very ordinary. The food was very bland and I had to salt my dish to have any flavour.
The service was also average - we gave up trying to get second drinks as the staff seemed very reluctant to attend to us.
The hotel has excellent gym and swimming facilities. These were kept in immaculate condition.
The staff I found the staff to be efficient, however, not very helpful. When I asked for tourist information, they had a very limited range and no maps.
Getting around Geneva As the hotel is located very close to the airport, it is quite easy to travel in to Geneva. There is a shuttle bus which runs every 20 minutes to the airport during the day time. We simply caught the bus to the airport, then caught the train into Geneva.
Would I recommend this hotel? No, as I was disappointed with the room. I have stayed in other four or five star hotels where the rooms have been much larger, and have featured chairs and sitting areas. This room reminded me of a standard three star hotel.
If you had to travel to Geneva on business, or were visiting it for the convention centre, however, this hotel would be ideally located.
