Hi, my name is Graham, I am married with a son. We are an active family based on the Isle of Man and we like weekends away to the UK and Europe. I like gadets and devices and like to keep up to date on all that is here and now.

The Crowne Plaza is a truly superb hotel. Its an absolute joy to stay there, modern build complemented by historical imagery throughout. The reception is beneath a circle glass ceiling, it gives such a welcome regardless of the British weather.
The rooms are what you expect from the Crowne Plaza chain, part of holiday inn. Normally two big beds, with self controlled air conditioning, ensuite marble bathroom, stacked with plenty of toiletries. All the rooms are above floor 3, so you can take advantage of either a mersey or city view. Its wonderful to eat your breakfast watching the boats going up and down the river.
The carpark is controlled by a ticketed barrier, is well lit and has many cameras as well as a 8ft high fence, you feel happy to leave your car there.
Staff are both curteous and attentive to your needs, nothing is any trouble.
Good health facilities and an adequate in-door pool free to hotel guests.
Food and drinks are all very well presented and taste great, although the prices could be considered to be quite high. However, you may already expect this from this quality hotel.
Why this is only a 3 star hotel is beyond me, I have stayed in 5 star hotels and quite frankly they melt away in comparrison. Join holiday inn points, and stay at this hotel , the cost is worth it and you will get loads of points to reward you.
