...We booked this hotel with a travel company, as we were booking a short theatre break, one night in a hotel , and one theatre evening at Theare Land. We did not know how far the hotel was from Theatre Land, but when we looked online to see the distance, and seeing how much taxi's would be. It turned out that it was around 5 - 10 minute journey to Theatre Land from CrownePlaza. Booking was easy, we did it all over the phone, and it was a package eal. We had not been to the hotel before, and we found it a suprise as to what to expect. We did not have any problems with the booking. We did want to know after our booking how how far the hotel was to Theatre Land, as we did not have our own car with us, and we would rely on taxi's and public transport.
Getting to the hotel was easy. Normally looking for certain places in a busy area...

Advantages: Location is superb. Very comfortable, great facilities and superb staff! Disadvantages: Nothing, apart from the uncertainty regarding the on-line booking
...Amsterdam is home to three CrownePlaza hotels; there's one at Schiphol airport, there's the "Americaine", and then there's the "CrownePlaza City Centre". It's at the latter that we recently had the pleasure of staying. Five minutes' walk from the Centraal (sic) Station which, itself, is a one-stop, 3.90 Euro, journey from Schiphol airport, I thought that its location was absolutely ideal.
This review breaks the mould - amongst other things. I am usually travelling with my wife, Amanda, and the nearly-three-years-old baby Josh. Amsterdam, however, is no place for a toddler and it was thus that I found myself on a trip away with two good friends, Mark and Chris. Oh dear! Mathematician that I am, I feel an equation coming on.....Three blokes + Amsterdam = Trouble!
Let me say from the outset that this was a really superb hotel. We...

...There are two hotels called the CrownePlaza in Birmingham. As I found out at my peril... Ill explain later.
The first one is the CrownPlaza in the City Centre which is the one mentioned in the other review.
The one I stayed in is the one situated next to Birmingham NEC and is the one I have stayed in quite a few times.
I have to say I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.
The most recent stay was when I booked us in before going to Prague. I had mistakenly booked the City Centre Hotel by mistake. I wanted the one by the NEC because of the Free transfers to the airport. On arrival the staff were very helpful in sorting out cancelling the reservation at the other hotel and getting us a room at their hotel. We even had a free upgrade and I dont know why!
The staff are very pleasant and helpful providing good local...

Well im back onto the hotel reviews again after a recent visit to Ottawa in Canada. After freezing my buttocks off and nestling into my scarf grabbing my bags and rushing into the hotel I had little chance to look at the exterior of the hotel!

We stayed here for a week recently on a trip to Orlando to visit Universal Studios and Sea World. We stayed in a Disney hotel later on in the holiday so we didn't mind that it was a long way from Disney. We bought it as part of a package deal including... more
The Crowne Plaza is a truly superb hotel. Its an absolute joy to stay there, modern build complemented by historical imagery throughout. The reception is beneath a circle glass ceiling, it gives such a welcome regardless of the British weather.
