Advantages: 4 Star hotel, Situated in good location, Friendly staff, Beautiful hotel, Good hotel facilities Disadvantages: Expensive
a nice feel to them you can feel the build quality in the rooms the beds are comfortable the desk is made from oak tree they look and feel great.
One thing that I usually find with hotel room bathrooms is that they are small and in fact too small I feel like I don?t have enough space to stand in them and that it cannot be comfortable. However the bathrooms in the CrownePlaza are perfect they just look beautiful and posh. I had enough space to stand around; I had space to put my clothes and enough room to shave without banging into the mirror I guess you can get my point.
Bed and breakfast
As part of the deal that I got was evening meal and breakfast included with the rooms (We had to pay for drinks) but it was a very good deal. We went down for dinner and were greeted by a very helpful member of staff who took us to a table ...
Advantages: Location. New and modern Disadvantages: Awful club level package. Decor not to everyones taste.
Owing to the recession the hotel industry has been one of the hardest hit areas and as such, we have seen some of the most excellent deals come out as room rates drop back to prices charged in the 1990?s. Staying in the UK for the summer I decided to take advantage of some of these rates and looked into the special offers available from CrownePlaza.
As a treat for myself and the other half, I decided we would go to Manchester for the weekend. It is a city I haven?t really explored much before and thought it would be a good weekend trip. I had seen the newly opened CrownePlaza on this years Apprentice and the hotel and rooms looked very modern and stylish and when I saw the promotional prices I thought why the hell not and off we went.
Booking
I booked my two night stay at www.crowneplaza.co.uk As a member of their priority club ...
There are two hotels called the CrownePlaza in Birmingham. As I found out at my peril... Ill explain later.
The first one is the CrownPlaza in the City Centre which is the one mentioned in the other review.
The one I stayed in is the one situated next to Birmingham NEC and is the one I have stayed in quite a few times.
I have to say I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.
The most recent stay was when I booked us in before going to Prague. I had mistakenly booked the City Centre Hotel by mistake. I wanted the one by the NEC because of the Free transfers to the airport. On arrival the staff were very helpful in sorting out cancelling the reservation at the other hotel and getting us a room at their hotel. We even had a free upgrade and I dont know why!
The staff are very pleasant and helpful providing good local ...
