Victoria Centre Nottingham

Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -

Nottingham has two large shopping centres, the Broadmarsh Centre and the Victoria Centre, situated at opposite ends of the city centre .The Victoria Centre is the bigger of the two, containing 120 shops (not counting all the various stalls in the market area.) Getting there is easy - if you drive, there's parking for over 2700 cars . If you don't drive, don't worry - almost all the Nottingham City Transport buses stop either directly outside the Victoria Centre, or within a few minutes walk of it . Other bus companies from slightly further afield, such as Trent Barton , terminate at the local coach station within the centre . If you're walking, the centre is signposted from various points in the city centre, and at the end of the day when you're weighed down with shopping, there are 2 taxi ranks directly outside the main entrance ...

Review of Victoria Centre, Nottingham

Crowne Plaza deserves another Crown

Advantages: 4 Star hotel, Situated in good location, Friendly staff, Beautiful hotel, Good hotel facilities
Disadvantages: Expensive

a nice feel to them you can feel the build quality in the rooms the beds are comfortable the desk is made from oak tree they look and feel great. One thing that I usually find with hotel room bathrooms is that they are small and in fact too small I feel like I don?t have enough space to stand in them and that it cannot be comfortable. However the bathrooms in the Crowne Plaza are perfect they just look beautiful and posh. I had enough space to stand around; I had space to put my clothes and enough room to shave without banging into the mirror I guess you can get my point. Bed and breakfast As part of the deal that I got was evening meal and breakfast included with the rooms (We had to pay for drinks) but it was a very good deal. We went down for dinner and were greeted by a very helpful member of staff who took us to a table ...

Review of Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool

Once upon a time in Nottingham

Advantages: A view of history through everyday objects in Nottingham
Disadvantages: No access for wheelchairs

The table was covered in the bright green cloth of Lincoln scattered with children's games, the reflection in the large mirror of the heavy Victorian sideboard reproduce the image of the china tea service, the brass oil lamp and the big family bible. In the other corner was the Grandfather clock no longer ticking and the hearth of the fire place with it's big cast iron fender framing the roaring open coal fire reminded me of the days of my childhood visiting my Great, Great Aunt Caroline. This room was virtually identical to her front parlour right down to the piano that now lay silent but in my mind I could hear the tinkling notes that over 30 years ago I had heard when my brother attempted to play. But I wasn't in Aunt Carrie's house, I was stood in the Victorian parlour in the Museum of Nottingham Life at the Brew House Yard ...
