Advantages: Great view Disadvantages: Waste of money
As some of you will know from my other review I visited Prague recently. I didn't include PragueCastle in that review because it seemed like the review was already really long but as it is one of the main attractions.
This review is going to be really mixed because there is so much to Praguecastle. It's really like going to a little village because there is so much to the castle and the area around it and if you want to see it all then you'll need to spend the entire day there.
-Tickets-
I bought a Prague Card and got the short tour free on that but if you don't have a prague card the prices are:
Short Tour- 250 crowns (£9.22)
Long Tour-350 Crowns (£12.90)
You can also pay to get into individual attractions and discounts are available, as well as family tickets.

Advantages: Reasonable prices, easy cheap access to the town centre Disadvantages: Not ideal if you like a central location, expensive bar prices, strange breakfast
When EasyJet offered me two return tickets to Prague from Bristol for the grand total of £75, being the polite well brought up person I am, I thought it would be rude to refuse, so I mulled it over carefully for about 3 minutes, checked with my Mum that she would be happy to baby-sit and booked them ?then they had the cheek to charge me a £3 credit card charge (now increased to £4). Prague in March from my previous experience was bound to be cold and therefore sleeping under the stars was not an option.
On my previous visit to Prague I stayed at what was then the Holiday Inn, but search as I could I just could not find it ? then I stumbled across the Holiday Inn website and discovered it has been upgraded to the CrownePlaza, not typically somewhere you would expect to find a bunch of students staying anymore.
A ?czech? (Sorry ...
Advantages: Beautiful and magnificent architecture Disadvantages: Golden Lane. Oh yeah and don't forget the stairs.
My sister and I decided that we should see PragueCastle. Although my sister had already been there, she felt it justified a second visit. And of course I had never been to Prague before, so I figured this was one of the main places to visit even if you don't get much else in.
Was I disappointed? No. It is beautiful and there really is a lot to see. Entry to the grounds is free, so you can just go and look at the architecture and the gardens if you like. There-in lies a sumptuous feast for the eyes. If you like beautiful architecture as much as I do, you will enjoy just walking around and looking at the buildings.
To actually get into the various buildings, on the other hand, you have to pay. The price varies depending on just how much you want to see. Please forgive me if the prices are slightly wrong, as I am just going on memory ...
