...**** Argyll Hotel**** **Location/Getting there** This hotel isn't dead central in Glasgow as you have to walk for quite a while down Sauchiehall street but it is a great budget hotel to stay in if you are planning to go to the SECC.They even have maps to help you get from the hotel to the SECC and it only takes about 15 minutes to walk it. **Reception/staff** The hotel isn't that glamourous or anything but the staff are always very helpful and friendly. You get the feeling that they like their job which is nice instead of having a scowling member of staff. **Hotel/Room** Pretty much every time i have stayed in this hotel i have had the same room.Its pretty standard as rooms go .It is always very clean and tidy,it has a kettle and some biscuits.The shower is okay.They always give us plenty of pillows . **Other** They... ...Lochside House Hotel Located in the western Ayrshire, ¾ distance on A76 from Cumnock to New Cumnock lies the family hotel Lochside. As the name says, it's in the vicinity of two lakes, one of them Loch of the Lowes. This hotel is owned by the Kyle family, who have purchased the property almost 10 years ago when it was in the state of a more or less ruined old farmhouse and they have advanced and refusbished it into a 3-star hotel which has to offer much more than just bed and breakfast. I have worked in this hotel but it wouldn't be fair to tell you the Kyles' knowhow, now would it? I stayed in this hotel for a weekend and thought I would share my views - **********LOCATION********* This hotel is in a great location. It only took us about 5 minutes to walk to the main shopping area and about 10 minute walk from Glasgow Central Railway station. The transfer from the aiport only took us 10 mins and cost us £6.29 return with Citylink Buses. **********COST*********** We thought it was brilliant value for money at only £60 per room per night. ***********ROOMS*********** This hotel is a newly built modern property.
