I have a MacBook Pro 17" and it fits perfectly, be careful if you have a not so slim laptop as it may not fit. I also use it on my lap to prevent the MacBook from burning my legs and am using it this minute, I've tried using cushions in the past which doesn't really work! I really do think it is one of those 'must-have' purchases when you buy a laptop, especially one as pretty as the MacBook! Don't worry about the zip scratching either as it has a protective flap, they thought of everything!
